HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GREATEST DAD IN THE WORLD...BRIG JEN DATO' HASNY MD SALLEH!

ALLAH SELAMATKAN KAMU...ALLAH SELAMATKAN KAMU...ALLAH SELAMATKAN KAMU, DADDY...ALLAH SELAMATKAN KAMU!

14 Januari 2011 genap usia Daddy 56 tahun..still going strong and still young, always!

I remembered seeing him beating young officer during their hash runs, and played harder during a game of hockey and belting out his beautiful voices during karaoke sessions at the Officer's Mess...He may not have always been there for me **he was busy, always on the move** but I appreciated every single moment that we have spent together as a family...

He taught me that it doesn't matter where I was, HOME was where the family was..this was important for me when I was growing up as we moved from one place to another ever so frequent, hence I lost my sense of belonging..I do not know where I belong to, a place that I could really call my own where I build my life from memories and hopes of the future...It wasn't fun as fun as people imagined it, believe me..but I got used to it but it never stopped me form making new friends while still keeping in touch with my old friends...

He taught me and my sisters to be independent **although I have some reservations towards Kak Nam..ha ha ha, nama je masuk MRSM KK..tapi baju kotor, kasut kotor boleh siap mintak uncle driver hantar balik rumah**...You see, we ceased to have any helper since we were 9 years old..Mommy & Daddy were confident enough to let me & Kakak to have the house to ourselves while waiting for Mom to arrived home from her school ~ 3-ish most of the time.. so, baju & kasut sekolah basuh sendiri..tolong kemas rumah, sapu sampah -->duty Kakak..Masak was more of my cup of tea..coming from my Dad, OPERASI "pecah & perintah" was nicely and appropriately used!:P

I have always been Daddy's girl but growing up I got adjusted to the idea of becoming closer to Mom..but that doesn't mean that I love my Dad lesser...
US, when I was 4 years old..

We have celebrated Raya in 3 different world time before..Daddy, Mommy & Girl was in the States..Me? In Kursk, lah ..mana lagi? and Kakak, in JB with Tok Ayah..

We've been through hell and back **metaphorically, speaking** and now with the presence of my 3 handsome boys I just hope that I am doing him proud!

So Dad..here's to you for your hard work and determination of turning me into a useful human being, a good ummah and a great person..thank you ever so much for being my Dad!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

p/s: the boys sends their extra sloppy kisses and huge hugs to you!
